Name: Planning Changes

Display Field: GenPlanAmendments

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: A polygon layer to help keep track of changes to the various data layers within this geodatabase, and to provide original source material for those changes=========================================May 25, 2016 by Greg BazhawAdded field AGOL_Var for flags to use in AGOL maps and apps queries and definitions.=============================================March 15, 2016 by Greg BazhawAdded MiscNotes field for, miscellaneous notes (duh!)===========================================Feb 5, 2016Added fields AnnexationDate (as Date) and CityAnnexation (as Text). The idea is to better capture annexations to cities for subsequent analysis. Where records existed, AnnexationData was calculated, and is the same as, Rec_Date.===================================================June 18, 2013Added a field called LA_HillsFireDistrict================================================December 17, 2010Added a field called Hyperlink. This will be used to link various documents, mostly arcmap maps in pdf format, which illustrate the changes for complicated changes for which there are no other documentation, or for which a map will help illustrate things better.==============================================================As of October 11, 2007A NEW WAY TO DETERMINE THE DATE OF EDITS/UPDATES/CHANGES IS NOW IN ORDER.Each Feature Class in the Planning_Office_GIS_Database (Geodatabase) will now have, in this field, the date when this Feature Class was updated. The geographical location of the edit/update/change, in addition to other reference materials, will be identified in the Feature Class "Changes." The date of posting for the entire Geodatabase will be located in the Metadata for the Geodatabase itself. Therefore:1. To determine WHEN a Feature Class was last edited/updated/changed: Check this area here.2. To determine WHERE the Feature Class was last edited/updated/changed: Check the "Changes" Feature Class.3. To determine WHEN the Geodatabase and all Feature Classes were posted to the Server: Check metadata for the GeodatabaseThis method replaces the previous method established March 19, 2007 from this day forward. However, much useful information may still be obtained by using the other method.==============================================================As of March 19, 2007The entire geodatabase, and all shapefiles, are posted to the server as a whole. Check the metadata for the entire database (Planning_Office_GIS_Database.gdb) to see when the server was updated.Only some feature classes are edited at any given database update. Some edits warrent documentation while others do not. Sources of edit documentation from this date forward include the EditsDatabase Feature Class and the Metadata tab associated with a particular Feature Class. To find edit information in the Feature Class Metadata, click the Spatial tab in the metadata viewer, then scroll down the page to Lineage | FGDC Lineage | Process Step. The Process Steps are listed sequentially, with Process Step 1 being the oldest edits, and Process Step n being the most recent description of the edits to that Feature Class.===============================================The Server was updated on February 19, 2007. THE GIS DATA IS PROVIDED "AS IS". THE COUNTY MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, VALUE, QUALITY, VALIDITY, MERCHANTABILITY, SUITABILITY, AND CONDITION, OF THE GIS DATA.
