 "description": "Land Use Permit applications made at the County Planning Office are tracked spatially with this data layer. Such applications include Use Permits, Subdivisions, Building Site Approval, etc. and all other land use application types the Planning Office process. When a land use application is made at the Planning Office, the parcel(s) in question are outlined using this layer. If the parcel is large, or there are multiple discrete uses on a parcel or parcels, then the area of development proposal is outlined, which may be a sub area of the parcel or parcels. For example, single building site approval is usually depicted by outlining the entire parcel. Larger, more complex projects, such as those of Stanford, where large parcels contain many land use applications and County files, the area in question is outlined, often using air photos as a guide. Once the area is outlined, a key field is created and is used to RELATE to a table (Activity_Info) which contains the specifics about the land use application. This database was begun in the year 2000, and there was a one year stoppage of work in 2001 due to the Redistricting Effort. In 2002, the capture of land use applications began in earnest. Historic land use application capture occurs on an as-needed basis.\nTHE GIS DATA IS PROVIDED \"AS IS\".
